where is athens?

The 2nd week, we had "Redeeming relationship with others".

The first two nights were on redeeming relationship with family.

Many of us need God to redeem our relationship with our immediate family members- dad, mum, siblings.

Many fear our parents. Abusive fathers, distant fathers,perfectionist parents etc.
Some might have lost their parents too young.
Some are tortured by the pains brought by favoritism of parents.
Some never reach the expectation of their parents.
Many of us reflect what we witness in our parents' generation and bring forward the same style of hurtful talking.
Some felt like there are some family curses in the family- divorces and diseases.
Some hate their parents for being too strict.
Some hate their parents that never care for them.
Some blame their family for being poor.
Many do not understand why they are always being compared with their siblings.

It is so hard to forgive. We don't even know that we hate them. Maybe that person has already pass away, but that person is still difficult to be forgiven.

The list goes on. Sinful men trying to love. Imperfect families. Men with brokenness walking everywhere.

Everyone has some relationships to allow God to work on them.
The memories are so painful that we often suppress and we don't even know that they pain us so much.
We too often walk away.
We need to talk things out. It is never an easy task. It may end up in quarrel if both sides are not ready.
At least we try?
I believe that talking things out can heal some of the relationship, but there are somethings deep within....
Well, I truly believe that only God can heal.

Talk to men, talk to God.

May we too soon receive God's inner healing.
He is a God we need, for we are sinful.
He is a God who is able to change us and others.
He is a God who is able to do impossible things in our eyes.
