where is athens?

You might sometimes hear the chinese says 'as pack as sardin fish in a can'.
Can't picture it?
Let me tell you my story.
Ktm's service is considered as good (comparatively), but sometimes when it got delayed, you will hear a not so sweet girl's voice :' Train ke Rawnag telah mengalami kelewatan. Train ke Rawang masih berada di station Seremban. Train berikutnya akan tiba dalam masa 20 minit. Terima kasih.'
Then when the next train comes, it will be packed 'like sardin fish in the can'.
I always walked to the middle walkway of the passenger seat immediately after i get on the train.
Once I even had ni chance to walk there. It was just too pack.
This was exactly how i stood on the train.
I was standing near the door, my head between two men's back. (I wish i could be taller.)
I was holding my file in front of me with my right hand, stretching my left hand out to hang onto the 'pilar'. (What's that called, anyone?)
I wasn't tying my hair, and someone's hand is pressing against my hair, so I couldn't even move my head.
I can't see anything beside another guy's back facing me.

Well,this is the life of sardin fish.
If this sardin fish has a car, it will probably transform back to human, but have to face traffic jams.

5pm
Time to go back home!
Rushed to the train station.
Oh no...there's no place for me to sit!
The train was so crowded.
It was ok when the train suddenly took a turn or accelerates.
You have no space to fall down.
The journey was bearable, until a guy standing beside me raised his arm to hold onto the train handle.
Everyone stopped breathing.
You know, athens isnt very tall.
She always hope to be taller, so she has more space to breath in fresher air.
The most terrible thing was that the guy was kind of 'proud'????!! of his 'smell'????!!!! and keep teasing the few Malay girls beside him.

Thank God,athens gets down at the next station.

It was peak hour.
Athens was quite lucky to get a seat in ktm.
"Stesen berikutnya, kuala lumpur. Next station,kuala lumpur."
Athens looked at the magnitude of people in front of her.
Athens stood up, step on a few aunties' shoes, nearly tripped over.
The auntie eagerly took her seat.
Holding her file in one hand and heavy bag on the other,athens tried to get close to the door.
The door opened but athens still stuck inside. Excuse me excuse me. People from the outside still was flowing in. Hey, can you let me get down first?!!!
Athens continue to say excuse me while trying her best to find her way out of the train.
When athens finally get out of the ktm, she realized that the strap of her bag was broken.

There are two seats on each side of the bus.
Malaysian busses that are run by private companies are usually full.
Athens doesn't like to sit at the seat near the walkway.
There are some guys who are standing who like to lean against the seat.
Can u picture that?
You are sitting, a guy is standing next to you.
He leans his back against the seat, so your face is right next to his....

Athens will try to move in closer to the other seat.
Athens will always let her sister sit at the place nearer to window.
Can athens say, "Excuse me, can you please move away a little bit from me?"

Taking train twice regularly every week.
Athens' train takes about an hour each journey.
Sometimes during peak hours people will flood into the train.
Athens will use her fastest speed to get herself in the middle of the train,for those who stand near the door are bound to be squeezed by other people that are just eager to go home.
Don't have to be worry. You will not fall in the train. There's no space for you.
Sometimes athens has to stand with her heavy bag for the entire journey.
If athens finally get a seat(like after standing for 30 mins), there are sure to be some senior citizens/young mother with children/pregnant lady/small kids boarding the train the next station.
Athens look around.
All those strong handsome young guys will normally ignore the ones in need.
Athens just can't stand letting the small kids clinging to their mother and swinging their tiny body everytime the train is taking a turn.
Athens normally gives her seat away.
Athens continues to stand with her sore legs.
Sometimes, athens is just too tired and when she finally get a seat, she will close her eyes and sleep immediately, so that she will not be too soft-hearted and give her seat away.
Ohw~
It is a struggle.

It is not that athens doesn't like to travel alone.
The probability of encountering insane people is much higher when a girl travels alone.
One day athens was alone going up the elevator of Maharajalela monorail station.
The station was kind of quite like usual in the afetrnoon.
Suddenly a guy who didn't look like Malaysian walked up the elevator and stayed very close to me.
I was alarmed and walked faster up.
I turned left to walk towards the ticketing counter.
He went in another direction, and started to stare at the road.
When i was waiting for my train, i realized that my bag had something sticky on it.
Guess what?
He spat on my bag!
That was when H1N1 started to spread, and the first thing that came across my mind was, does he have H1N1????!!!
Thank God he didn't spit on my hair!
Or else.......

Athens travels very often by public transport.
Alone. Too.
It is very different to travel together with friends and all by oneself.
When athens travels,athens observes weird behaviors and encounters weird incidents.

This series of stories is about what athens observes, what weird incidents and people athens encounters, what athens has done,etc, while traveling by public transport.

There is a kind of men athens absolutely abhor. They are men who shake their legs while sitting.
Don't they know that the person sitting beside them can feel the vibration?
It is very annoying!
There are men who just occasionally shake one of their legs, it is acceptable. Athens would say nothing.
Why are there some guys who couldn't stop shaking their legs?
There was a guy sitting at the bench and shaking both his legs vigorously.
Athens just can't sit there anymore and chose to stand.
Oh gosh!
Athens hasn't had the courage to SHOUT: Hey, can you please stop shaking your leg?
Well, it may be their right to shake legs, but please, be considerate!
Athens can't sleep if the guy sitting beside athens is shaking his leg.
Poor athens.
Athens hope that athens would never have to sit between two guys who shake their legs.
Athens wonders what would athens do, if one day this unfortunate event is to befall on athens.
