Christmas isn't Christmas

Christmas = santa claus?
Christmas = Christmas trees?
Christmas = gifts?
Christmas = shopping?

There must be more than this.
Who is the main character in this festival?

Who? Jesus?
The One whom the bible says who was born of a virgin?
U mean in this age where people believe in science, there are still so many who believes in that old story?

Who? Jesus?
The One whom the bible says was the King of kings and Lord of lords?
Why was he borned in a manger and not in a palace?
If He conquer the world, wouldn't it be easier for all to believe in Him?
Why did he choose to die on the cross for our sins?

Who? Jesus?
If He's God, you sure He knew who m i? Does He even care( if He exixts?)?

Read what Jesus said:

Luke 4: 18-19
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
Because the Lord has annointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind
to release the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

因为祂用膏膏我，
叫我传福音给贫穷的人。
差遣我报告被掳的得释放，
瞎眼的看见，
叫那受压制的得自由，
报告神悦纳人的禧年。

What does the scripture means?

Jesus, God's son, was sent, to preach the good news to the poor.
Who is poor?
We. You and I. What do we really own? Nothing.
We are poor in spirit. No God, lots and lots of hurt.
But we always yearn for more.
Love,money,relationships.
Good news! God has them all!
He can provide you!

To proclaim freedom for the prisoners.
Who are the prisoners?
We. You and I.
Are we secretly engage in habits that we want no one to know?
Are we bound in feelings of unforgiveness,anger,violence,jealousy?
Good news! He wants to set us free!

Recovery of sight to the blind.
Yes, we are blinded. We can't see what are the things that are important.
We can't see that we have done so much wrong that we cannot go near to God.
Good news! We will receive sight!

If we are willing to humble before Him,saying, Lord, I know that I am a sinner and You died for my sin,please be my God, Jesus will enter your heart.
Give it a try.

If we are unsure, but we are still searching for the truth, i beg you, to humble and say,
God, who are you?
If You really exist, please show me who are You.

He loves you, and He wants to hear from you.
You can speak it in your heart. He can hear you.
I have got the most precious present of Christmas, which is Jesus himself.
